“Backyard Horse Tales 2 Frosty and the Night Stalker” by Jackie Anton, a Review by Nina Norstrom

Publication date: 10/11/12
A Kindle Edition

Rating Title:  A Human Loving Horse Tale Rated 5 stars

This story opens in the time of May 1968 at a place called Hi Lo Farms.  It’s a non-fiction, fantasy tale of a horse and/or horses.  And is presented in a first person structure – and this format is spoken from the mouth of the horse (an animal’s view). In its reading, the reader will definitely be taking a journey through space and time.  One doesn’t have to be a horse lover to get pleasure out of its story. The book will give enjoyment to ALL who reads its tale.  While reading the story, one may want to stop reading just to embrace its pictorial characters.  (The Author and Illustrator have done a marvelous job in capturing its drawings, I think.) Personally, I could visualize this book being housed on every school shelf – to be read during scheduled “story time” periods.

I commend the Author for her descriptive manner.  The structure is well-written, and does put one in the moment.  Truly, a great job for both the Writer and Illustrator.
